Rob's story : United we Can
When Rob was referred to BOB by Hope Bridge Services, he had just begun to follow a new path in his life including overcoming addiction. He had finished his recovery program and was looking for employment opportunities in order to give his life a fresh start.
Rob had been rebuilding himself in many areas, and with his renewed confidence he knew he was ready to find work.
Rob now works full-time at United We Can as a Recycler in the bottle depot as well as a Farmer on the SOLEfood Urban Farm. Rob completed the BOB BusinessLinks— SOLEfood Urban Farming training, and is now participating in BOB’s Supported Employment Program. In his own words, Rob describes his employment at United We Can and his experience working with BOB:
“I have finally started doing something I actually like. I get along with everyone and am working hard, and BOB really helped me so much over the last few months. I really appreciated the training as it has widened my mind.” Rob H
